==History==

One of the first personal computers to hit the market was the Timex Sinclair ZX81 (ZX Spectrum). It did not have enough memory for graphics, so we used to use text semigraphics and block characters like these to draw charts, graphs, and fun ASCII art. Today we can use these chacters to make clever graphics on social media. Cool, huh.

The author, Henry Kroll, created several c programs to convert graphics to ASCII art and block characters prior to this project.
